Drum Roll Please............

Ok, Kelly here is the updated blog........
We had a wonderful Christmas with Santa bringing many presents. We were spoiled with receiving a Wii (I even got the Wii fit to go along with it-what a surprise!). The boys and I also received dog tags just like, as Logan would say, "The army men wear." This may not be too terribly exciting to many of you, but for me it was....... I think one of the best presents I got. Yeah, yeah I know that may seem weird, but it is because I cannot find my original ones from when I was in. I know many of you are probably thinking, "but I thought she hated the Army." The truth is is that I really did not like it while I was in, but truly miss certain aspects of it since being out.
Anyway, christmas was great. I think the best part has been not having to work for the past week. I am really enjoying being home with the boys (when they listen and when Ethan is not climbing on everything-he is such a monkey) and even more have enjoyed the time with my husband (we have not had a day off together in four months). I have liked not having to be on a schedule or a list! I have realized that I am going to enjoy being a student (ask me towards the middle of the semester) and getting to enjoy my family more!

Wii fun

Logan and Dustin playing the Wii. I believe they were playing pool. Logan has had fun learning how to play the different games and Dustin has had fun teaching him how to play. Like father Like son!

"Mean" Cheese Face.

"Nice" Cheese Face.

Ok, so when Ethan goes to have his picture taken he says "Cheese." Well, in the two pictures above this was the new "Cheese" face. I have no idea where it came from or where he came up with the idea, but there ya go. When I took the first picture I realized that he was making the "mean" cheese face so I asked him to do a nice face and the second picture is what I got still with "Cheese" and a little smile. Crazy kid!

Playing with Thomas the Train. He is really into Thomas the Train these days. He got the discovery mountain and three trains to go with it. Needless to say, these trains go EVERYWHERE with him.

Christmas 2008

Fun in the snow

Logan's snow angel that he has been dying to make since it started to snow. I don't think it was as fun as he thought that it would be because he hasn't talked about snow angels since.

Ethan wanted to drive his car in the snow. He didn't realize that it wouldn't go very well. Do you think Lil' Tykes makes snow tires for these little cars? Ethan is sure hoping so. Well, by the time I got the driveway shoveled Ethan had had enough and went inside to watch TV with his dad. He was not having anymore fun in the snow.

Logan was adament about riding his bike in the snow. He patiently waited until I was able to shovel the driveway, but decided to try out his tires. He came to the conclusion, "I guess this bike doesn't work in the snow."

Sledding Fun

After getting all bundled up, the boys wanted to go sledding. Well, we have a small little hill (if you can even call it that) more of a slope on the side of the house. They decided that they would go down it and come to an abrupt stop at the fence. They really had fun doing this. Oh and by the way, it hurts when you hit the fence especially if it is where the green pole it sticking out of the ground. Look closely in the photos maybe you can see it.

Final Minutes before the big outing

The boys decided that they wanted to go outside, but first they had to finish up playing with Thomas. Logan must have thought that it was really bright inside the house. Ethan needed to have clean teeth and then it was time to get bundled up.

Locomotive Park 2008

Every year the Locomotive Park is decorated with many lights. They have a train there with a bell that is so fun to pull. The boys had fun this year running through the lights, playing in the snow, and dancing on the dance pad so the lights change.
