BABY POWDER MOMMA!

Have you ever wondered what a bedroom would look like if it was decorated with baby powder? Well, Dustin and I had never given much thought to this decorating technique, but unfortunately last Thursday night we had the opportunity to experience this beautiful and marvelous decorating technique courtesy of our adorable 2 year old.

Our discovery went a little like this:
Dustin and Kindra are sitting downstairs watching a movie after the boys had been put to bed. Time approximately 10 pm
Dustin hears a strange cough, pauses the movie and heads upstairs to investigate.....
Dustin: "Mom, will you come here for a minute."
Mom: "Yes, what is going on? Is everything ok?"
Dustin: "Yes, but come here."
Mom: "Ok"
mom walks up the stairs and dad walks with her to Ethan's bedroom. Mom looks into the room.
Mom:"Oh, buddy."
Ethan: (naked holding his diaper....beginning to cry) "Momma, I sorry I potty on the floor. I sorry mommy, I sorry."
Mom: (calming Ethan down) "Oh, buddy it is ok."
Ethan: (calms down and quits crying) "Potty right here momma. Powder all over."
Dustin: (laughing and taking pictures) "Oh goodness buddy. Next time yell down to mom and dad so we can come help."

we proceed to clean it all up with Ethan helping insisting that everything take a "shower or a bath"

Ok, so this is what we think happened. Ethan is in the process of potty training. Sometimes he wants to go and does well and other times he would rather wet in the diaper. He must have had to go, took his diaper off, accidently wet on the floor and decided that he needed to put the diaper back on. Enter the baby powder, he has been adament that he have powder on with his diaper. He must of tried to put the diaper on with powder, but ended up decorating with it instead.

My Cape Mom

The other night Logan asked to wear his Superman costume and of course I agreed. Well, Ethan wanted to wear his Superman costume with a cape also, but we don't have one in his size. I offered to make him a cape out of a blanket that has insects or bugs on it to match his pjs, but he refused the offer stating he really wanted a Superman outfit like Logans. He accepted the fact that we would have to purchase one and they went on their way playing superheroes. 15 minutes went by of their playing and of course my computer time and Ethan came out so excited.
The conversation went something like this:
Ethan: "Mom, look at my cape."
Mom: (laughing and a little bit embarassed)"Wow, Ethan that is nice."
Ethan: "Like my cape, momma?"
Mom: "Yes, buddy I like your cape."
enter big brother Logan
Ethan:"Logan, like my cape?"
Logan: (turning towards mom) "Mom, that is not a cape it is for your bobs."
Ethan: "No, Logan it is my cape."
Logan: "Mom, can he wear that for a cape? It is really for your bobs."
Mom: "I know it is Logan, but if he wants to wear it for a cape then it is ok."
Logan: (rolling his eyes) "Ok, come on Ethan let's go play."
So enjoy THE CAPE!

Blog, Blog, Blog......

Where has the time gone? I have many things to post, but no time to do it. I have been busy since Christmas. New Years brought shoveling snow off the roof and deck of the cabin.....and man was there a lot! Upon arrival home from three days of shoveling the cabin, with more snow falling, we were blessed with the flu at our home. First it was Ethan and then I was the lucky one. Dustin and Logan were blessed with not having it....this time around. That was all last week. Now this week, the semester has begun and so has the homework! I have some great pictures of the boys to post...and stories and you are going to love one of them! I will work on it this weekend before the homework starts to pile up. So be patient and the rest will come....in time!
