Parachute Men and Negative Neil turned happy....

Ok, so I have decided that I need to figure out some crafts for the boys to do this summer so I don't kill them by the end of our time together. I came across a magazine (Family Fun) a couple months back and went to their website www.familyfun.com to look up some ideas. While trying to find something fun I came across parachute men. In the past the boys have LOVED playing with these men, but have gotten frustrated by the little strings getting tangled up. This craft is made out of plastic Walmart sack (enlarge the side holes and cut holes in the front and back), pipe cleaners (cut these in half) and a little figurine of your choice.

I made these for the boys and tried to show them how much fun they would be.....
During construction Ethan chose to ride his bike.....

After construction he was thrilled to play with the parachute man......(notice Logan in the background)

Logan was not so thrilled after the construction. He informed me that my parachute men were not as cool as the ones that he got from the dentist (and even requested to go back to the dentist to get another one). He sat in the chair and pouted saying negative things. So I started calling him Negative Neil (he didn't like the Nancy part since he is a boy-that is how Negative Neil came about). He sure is a stubborn little guy....I guess he gets this from his dad!We ended up going back into the house to find smaller figurines with the outcome better for Logan. In this picture I was the coolest mom and made the best parachute man ever (even better than the dentist).

New glasses and missing teeth!

Logan got glasses at the beginning of May. He is adjusting to them, but not liking them very much. The correction in them is not enough for him to notice a difference and mainly has to have them for the astigmatism.
He has lost two teeth (with the tooth fairy bringing money) and has another one that should be falling out within weeks. Both teeth have been pulled out using the door and string extraction method (not my choice of course!).

Batman

Ethan just sleeping. I thought this was funny!
Reading books! He LOVES to read!

Batman outfit. Kelly and Courtnee do you remember this outfit? It is funny to see Ethan wearing it now.

Karate and T-ball

Logan is still doing karate and appears to really enjoy it. He also started T-ball and really likes this also. He has had one game with more to come!

All done....

Now that the semester is complete and I am officially done with nothing to do I am hoping that I can keep up with the blog, but not promises. I hope everyone is doing well and will post again soon.

The month of April

Ok, so April was a busy month......

First there was Vegas. Dustin had a conference there for 5 days so I decided to tag along.

Dustin and I outside the Bellagio water show.
Looking down the strip.
Holdrege license plate on the wall at the Coyote Ugly gift shop. This was inside the New York New York casino.

We went to Zumanity show which was part of Cirque Du Soleil. It was amazing and one of the best things that we did while we were there.
